The first high-end car name in Britain has been around for a long time. Rolls-Royce was founded in 1884 in a wealthy area of London. It then grew to become one of the best luxury car companies in the world, in the classic British style. Even after giving their name and brand to BMW more than a hundred years later, in 1998, the automakers always remembered where they came from. People still use the word “Rolls-Royce” to identify “luxury cars.”
Not surprisingly, Rolls-Royce has made some of the best cars ever. They have been around for 300 years and are used to living in exceptional air. These are the Rolls-Royce cars that are the best, from the first 6-cylinder Silver Ghost to the newest EV, the Spectre.
Rolls-Royce Boat Tail (2021–)
This stunningly beautiful Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, made by Coach, is the most expensive street-legal car in the world. It’s possible that this beautiful cabriolet, which has “suicide doors,” a rear cocktail lounge/bar, and a set of matched “his and hers” watches built into the dashboard, is the rarest Rolls-Royce ever made. There were only three kinds made, and each one was customized to fit the needs of the customer.
Rolls-Royce Twenty from 1922 to 1929
The Rolls-Royce Twenty sums up the “Roaring Twenties” better than any other car. A lot of regular people were in mind when the Twenty was first made, but owners with drivers eventually started to like it more. Yes, that makes sense since this supposedly simple luxury car went on to become a movie star and was in movies like The Abominable Dr. Phibes and Battle of the Sexes. There were only about 3,000 models made.
The Rolls-Royce Spectre model for 2023
“How can an electric Rolls-Royce that isn’t even on the market compete for the title of “greatest car”?” we get it.
The Spectre with two doors will change the car world and will soon be a collector’s item. This all-electric Rolls-Royce Spectre will be the fastest, most powerful, and smartest car ever made. It will have a range of up to 323 miles. It will also have touch-activated, reverse-hinged Starlight Doors, a new Whispers entertainment and AI system, and fully digital, customizable instrument dials. Now is the best time to buy a high-end electric car.
The Cullinan Rolls-Royce (since 2018)
Before 2018, only high-end cars were made by Rolls-Royce. The Cullinan was a lot of firsts for the British automaker. It was the first Rolls-Royce SUV and all-wheel-drive car. The car is called a “station wagon,” which is something we all know.
With its modular “Architecture of Luxury” metal base and headlights, as well as other Phantom parts, the new Cullinan is clearly an off-road SUV. Yes, the Cullinan does have a drive-mode selector system with an “Off Road Button” that turns on all-wheel drive and sends the right amount of power to all four wheels. Once it’s turned on, drivers can change the settings to work with almost any surface. It is a truly unique luxury car that can also be used as an off-road SUV.
What’s wrong with the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan that it doesn’t get a higher ranking? Since good English tea needs time to steep, this one does too. Soon enough, it will reach the top.
Rolls-Royce Phantom I (1925–1231)
The original Phantom also called the 40/50 Phantom I (see below), took the place of the Silver Ghost, which was going to be phased out by Rolls-Royce. It had a bigger engine and stronger overhead pushrods than the current model. It was eventually thrown out in favor of the Phantom II, which was the best 40/50 type.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom III from 1936 to 1939
The Phantom III was the last Rolls-Royce made before World War II. It was a powerful and beautiful car. It was the only Rolls-Royce with a V12 engine until the Silver Seraph came out in the late 1990s. There were 24 spark plugs, two fuel pumps, and a double ignition system in it, making it the most modern and performance-focused Rolls-Royce at the time.
From 1971 to 1995, Rolls-Royce Corniche
Over 25 years, less than 7,000 hand-built convertible and coupe models of the Corniche were made. This is a shame because, even though it wasn’t a Rolls-Royce, it was one of the most advanced and carefully built cars of its time. People are still interested in these old sports cars, even though they can now go as fast as 120 mph. Rolls-Royce’s fastest cars are the Wraith and, soon to be released, the Spectre. However, the Corniche is, without a doubt, one of the most enjoyable to drive.
Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow (1965–1980)
The unibody Silver Shadow, which was also called the Silver Wraith II or the Silver Mist, was the car that made Rolls-Royce what it is today: a cutting-edge luxury car company. In the 1970s, the Silver Shadow, which was faster, sleeker, and smaller than the Silver Cloud, was one of the most famous high-end cars in England. It had an amazing Turbo Hydramatic 400 automatic gearbox, a 6.2L V8 engine with 172 horsepower, and a high-pressure, self-leveling suspension system that made the ride as smooth as possible.
Even though more than 30,000 have been made, this car is still a symbol and one of Rolls-Royce’s most well-known types.
Phantom Rolls-Royce (since 2003)
The Phantom is, without a doubt, the newest Rolls-Royce, but the Silver Shadow is still the official emblem.
As of 2019, Rolls-Royce has been making Phantom cars since 1925, making it the oldest car brand ever. The Phantom has always been known for having unique, game-changing features that not many other cars can match. Take a look at these features that can be added to the full-sized 2017 Phantom Series II:
- The front Pantheon Grille Starlight Headlights are lit up with 580 different laser-cut stars.
- There are a lot of fiber-optic lights in the Shooter Star Headliner.
- A privacy room with a communication system and an electrochromic glass wall.
Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost (1906–1926)
The original Silver Ghost helped make Rolls-Royce famous in some ways. Autocar called the Silver Ghost “the best car in the world” in 1907, and it lives up to its name as the safest and quietest car on the market at the time. That was a big claim to make since all the cars were sketchy and noisy when they first came out. There were, however, estimates that the cost of repairs after 7,000 miles of real-world driving would be around £2.13, which shows that cars can be relied on.
Less than 8,000 Silver Ghost cars were made over 20 years, with only about 400 made each year during World War I. This makes it one of the rarest collector cars on the market today. The prototype is the most valuable car in the world. Its insured worth is more than $35 million. It may not be the most high-end or technologically advanced Rolls-Royce car, but it is without a doubt the most important car with the Double-R mark on it.
Whether we’re nostalgic or strict, we think the first Silver Ghost should be at the top of this list of the best Rolls-Royce cars ever made. We can help you choose, design, and set up any other new Rolls-Royce car, like the Phantom, Cullinan, or Ghost, even though we don’t have any Silver Ghosts for sale right now.
