The new 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser will be at your dealer’s lot for the first time in two years. This is a great time to be a Toyota fan and customer. But if you were thinking that the Land Cruiser would go back to being a simple, cheap SUV, this news will let you down. Beginning this spring, the full-time 4WD SUV will be for sale for a little less than $58,000.

Some people might find this disappointing, but let’s look at the good things about it. The base 1958 trim-level car will have a lot of options for that price. That’s the only trim level that comes with the round LED headlights that look like they belong in the 1970s, the eight-inch touch screen that works with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, the Toyota heritage grille, full-time four-wheel drive, a two-speed transfer case, and standard locking center and rear differentials. It also comes with Toyota’s i-Force Max hybrid technology, which, when paired with the car’s 2.4-liter turbocharged I-4 engine, makes 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque and gives your devices up to 2.4 kW of AC power.

Hurt! By 2025, it will be cheaper and smaller. It costs too much for the Toyota Land Cruiser

It costs $57,345 for the Land Cruiser 1958 trim, which is less than the base 2024 Lexus GX ($64,250) but more than the base 2024 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro ($54,920). As of now, we have yet to hear much about the 2025 Toyota 4Runner, but we hope to soon. The three cars are mostly different in terms of power, speed goals, and other features that aren’t part of their hybrid powertrains. The three of them will all be built on the same TNGA-F base that the Lexus LX and the Toyota Tundra, Tacoma, and Sequoia are built on.

If you choose the Land Cruiser trim level, the 1958 costs $63,695 more. The sleek, round LED headlights are swapped out for rectangular ones on the outside, and Rigid Industries LED fog lamps are added. Inside, there is a 12.3-inch tablet, a 10-speaker sound system, and two cloth-covered front seats that are powered, heated, and cooled. The width of the screen is 12.3 inches. The multi-terrain select and multi-terrain monitor features can help the Land Cruiser do better when driving off-road over rocks. This is also where the stabilizer disconnect device is located. This is what takes the suspension swaybar off the control arms to give you more freedom of movement.

The Premium Package can still be added to the Land Cruiser model level. It includes a 14-speaker JBL sound system, a digital rearview mirror, a head-up display (HUD), an illuminated entry, a power moonroof, a center console cold box, and two USB-C ports in the trunk area. This kit adds $4,600 to the price of this trim. For an extra $1,240, you can get 20-inch wheels if you go off-road only some of the time.

Get the First Edition if you want the Land Cruiser style with everything. This comes with the whole Premium Package as normal, but the round LED headlights and heritage grille from the 1958 trim are still there. There is a front skid plate, a roof rack, rock rails, and one-of-a-kind 18-inch wheels that say “First Edition” on the door panels. The price is $76,695, and it includes with all of these special features.

It will be one of Toyota’s most important releases before 2030, even if there are better off-road cars for every duty. The Japanese car company wants to have solid-state battery technology ready by the time it adds 70 more electric vehicles by 2021. These will include truck and SUV platforms.
