The redesigned 2025 Audi A3 keeps a simple look that fits with the general style of the four-ring brand. Audi’s entry-level car got an update today, but it only has a few new features. The inside stays mostly the same, but the outside gets some big changes, like new LED headlights that can be changed. What are the specifics? What are the two A3 models that aren’t sold in North America? What’s next?

The 2025 Audi A3 Sedan’s Subtle New Look on the Outside

Anyone who has trouble telling the difference between the 2025 A3 and older cars is not at fault. Audi was careful with the changes they made to the 2025 A3’s looks, but careful onlookers will still be able to tell the difference. We think the new grille is the most noticeable change. The triangular grille on last year’s model looked like it went all the way to the front when paired with the black splitter.

The 2025 A3’s face is wider and flatter and doesn’t have any frames around it. The grille doesn’t fit in with the front end; instead, it’s “hugged” by the A3’s bodywork. The new grille is surrounded by modern, geometric side vents that connect to the front splitter. According to Audi, the splitters and side openings are meant to make the A3 look lower. The official pictures don’t capture the mood, but being there helps explain the optical effect better.

A new diffuser vibes black plastic piece is built into the back bumper. The insert adds contrast, which breaks up any repetition, even when the car is not moving. It also makes the paint stand out more.

The headlight design is mostly the same, but there are a few important changes inside that we will look at in a moment. The headlights, on the other hand, are the same as the last model. It comes with a new set of split five-spoke wheels in the corners, and Audi USA is talking little about other wheel options.

The Inner A3 has maintained its appearance for a long time

Additionally, the 2025 Audi A3’s interior has mostly stayed the same from the previous model. At first glance, this shouldn’t be a big deal since Audi makes nice cars inside. However, we thought the 2024 A3’s cabin was too cheap and noisy for our tastes. We hope Audi was able to improve the A3’s cabin with better materials, even if the style stayed mostly the same on the inside.

Since there isn’t anything else around the center console and cup holders, new standard contour lighting goes around them to keep coffee from spilling into that special edition Stanley cup you just shared on Instagram. As for lights, the 2025 A3’s front door inserts are now lit up because, well, why not? To get it off, the fabric has to be cut with a laser 300 times. There is dynamic lighting that can show up whether the car is locked or open. The MMI program from Audi lets users pick from thirty different colors of lighting.

There are now personalized LED daytime running lights for the Audi A3 that are “pixel perfect”

It is the first time in the A3 range that users can choose and switch between four different daytime running light (DRL) “signatures” on the MMI display. Audi says that users can quickly change their signatures when they are “leaving home” or “coming home.” The LED and Matrix LED DRLs light up the top corners of each light with 24 pixels spread out over three rows.

Although not everyone will like it, it’s a creative way to make the A3 even more customizable. It would be great if Audi could add even more marks with over-the-air (OTA) updates in the future.

We will get two versions, but North America won’t

When talking to a European OEM, there will almost certainly be deals that are only available in that area. Unfortunately, the 2025 Audi A3 is a terrible example of this. The sedan will only be sold in North America. In Europe, you’ll be able to get the Sportback and the improved Allstreet.

Audi fans in the United States do this all the time, especially those who own the Sportback hatchback and wagon types. The present pain comes from not getting the Audi A3 Allroad. This car is different from the others in the line because it’s an A3 crossover. It comes with roof rails, wide wheel flares, and an extra inch of ground clearance, just like the bigger Allroad models.

A spokeswoman for Audi told us that the company is happy with its current SUV lineup and has no plans to add an A3 crossover to it. That’s why Allstreet isn’t coming to America. Without a doubt, the official stated that we would get a sportier S3 model, but they have yet to say when. Still, we think the S3 will come out a year after the A3.

Audi hasn’t yet said how much the 2025 A3 car will cost in North America, but it will be more than the 2024 model year, with an MSRP of $36,000 to $38,000. So, as soon as we have additional information, we will let you know about it.
